Winter Festival 2012     January 26 - 29, 2012      New Hope, Bucks County - Lambertville, NJ

Family Winterfest    January 28-29, 2012   Parker Dam State Park, Penfield, Clearfield County

So if you know me, you know I am a HUGE Parker Dam State Park Fan. Been going since i was a kid. Well here is another reason I love it!

The two-day festival will start with a Snowmobile Fun Run, and the opening of the YMCA's concession stand at the Beach House. Other scheduled activities include a Super Snow Bowl, Ice Fishing Basics, Winter Bird Feeding, Owls and Snowshoeing. Then, on Sunday, the festival will gear up again with an Ice Harvesting demonstration, Snow Box Derby, Frozen Salami Sling, Cross-Country Skiing and a Snowman Contest. Other events include the popular Almost Naked Mile Run and the Polar Bear Swim.

Ice Fest      January 26-29, 2012      Chambersburg, Franklin County

The 10th annual IceFest is scheduled for January 26th-29th, 2011 in downtown Chambersburg. It will be the biggest and best one yet! The winter festival features live ice carving and amazing ice sculptures, food vendors, Chili Cook off, Fireworks on Saturday and last year's favorite, the 40-ft. ice slide!! Also new to IceFest activities this year: a Scavenger Hunt!

North Park Outdoor Ice Skating Rink located in Allison Park is now open for the season!! Sat and Sun 11-4. Wed, Fri, Sat & Sun 4:30-7. Tues-Sun 7:30-9. Closed Mon.     Family Skate is Wednesday 4:30-7PM, $10.00=two adults & four children on that night!!!

Winterfest                              January 28, 2012, 10 am - 7 pm          Marienville, Forest County

Head for Marienville in late January for the town's annual winterfest.  The all-day event will feature snow sculptures, childrens games, chili cook-off, bake-off, plus raffles, and contests.  The day's activities conclude with a dramatic snowmobile torch light parade at 6 p.m.

Groundhog Day Events                   January 28-Feb. 4, 2012               Punxsutawney, Jefferson County

Even before Pennsylvania's most famous weather forecaster makes his appearance in Gobbler's Knob, there is a lot of fun to be had in Punxsutawney!  Enjoy "Breakfast with Phil" on Saturday the 28th or Saturday, Feb. 4th at 9 am; "Kids Craft Day" on the 29th from 12-2 pm, and entertainers, food vendors, and more each day in Barclay Square.

Winter Carnival           Jan. 29, 2011, 9 am - 4:30 pm          Lackawaxen, Pike County

Hit the snow at Ski Big Bear for Ski and Snowboard Races, an all day scavenger hunt, lunch tray races and free Ski Patrol toboggan rides.

Winterfest                       January 20 - 22, 2012          Clarendon, Warren County

Warren County Winterfest is the largest winter event in the Pennsylvania Wilds region. Held at Chapman State Park in late January of each year, our event features a variety of Winter outdoor activities for the whole family to enjoy.

Ice Fest                    January 21-22, 2012           Ligonier, Westmoreland County

Come see the masterpieces carved by ice artists, located on and within 1 block of the Diamond in Ligonier.

Moraine Winterfest                January 21, 2012   1 pm                                    Portersville, Butler County

Family fun is the order of the day at McDanel's Launch in Moraine State Park during Moraine's 2nd annual Winterfest. Admission is free and so are the activities! Bring the whole family! Activities include a Snow Shoe Workshop, Family Winter Nature Hike, Ice Skating (ice permitting/ bring your own skates), Various children's crafts and snow activities, Dog Sled Team, Cross Country Skiing (bring your own skis),  Chili Cookoff: $1 to taste/$3 a bowl (proceeds benefit the Moraine Preservation Fund).

Winter Festival: Fun in the Snow at Black Mo!        January 21, 2012, 12-4pm         Black Moshannon State Park, Centre County

Fun in the Snow at Black Mo! Learn new skills, such as ice skating and snowshoeing. Take a walk to look for winter signs of wildlife, and then take a cross county ski trip. Try to make a snow sculpture, enjoy sled riding and playing miniature golf or bowling on the ice!

Treasure Lake Winterfest          Jan. 28 & 29, 2012            DuBois, Clearfield County

It's time to break out and get out into the snow and have some fun. Attendees will enjoy themselves at this family-oriented event with a bonfire, crafts, sled riding, and more.

Enjoy FREE themed tables of crafts for kids every Sunday at noon. The program is staffed my museum educators.

Cartooning Basics for Kids: ToonSeum Mini-Camp      January 21, 2012, 10-11am      Pittsburgh, Allegheny County

Kellettville Winterfest        January 28, 2012, 1-5pm     Kellettville, Forest County

This winter festival has a little bit of everything!  Free sled riding hill and a roaring fire.  The newly renovated Black Caddis Ranch Lodge will be open for tours.  Plenty of winter activities including Longest Snowball Throwing Contest, Snowmobile "blindfold" obstacle course, Best Snowman Building contest, Cross Country Ski Sprint Race and Awards.  Donations to the Forest County Snowmobile Club will be accepted for the  hotdogs, Chili, hot coffee and hot chocolate.

Step Outdoors Winterfest       January 21, 2012       Wellsboro, Tioga County

Step Outdoors Winterfest 2012 is on January 21st at Hills Creek State Park, 10am-3pm. Come out to enjoy all FREE winter activities including sledding, iceskating (skates provided!) , snowshoeing (snow shoes provided!), cross country skiing (skis and ski boots are provided!), outdoor kids crafts (supplies provided!).
