Winter Blahs?  Take the kiddos for an outdoor adventure!  Winter Fun Days to include snowmobile rides, horse drawn & tractor hayrides, guided trail rides, chain saw carving, children`s crafts and ice fishing demonstrations. This event will be held with or without snow! Plus, a Jump in the lake! Yep, super cold, but I hear it is exhilarating. Take your bathing suit!

North Park Outdoor Ice Skating Rink located in Allison Park is now open for the season!! Sat and Sun 11-4. Wed, Fri, Sat & Sun 4:30-7. Tues-Sun 7:30-9. Closed Mon.     Family Skate is Wednesday 4:30-7PM, $10.00=two adults & four children on that night!!!

Groundhog Day Events                   January 28-Feb. 4, 2012               Punxsutawney, Jefferson County

Even before Pennsylvania's most famous weather forecaster makes his appearance in Gobbler's Knob, there is a lot of fun to be had in Punxsutawney!  Enjoy "Breakfast with Phil" on Saturday the 28th or Saturday, Feb. 4th at 9 am; "Kids Craft Day" on the 29th from 12-2 pm, and entertainers, food vendors, and more each day in Barclay Square.

Crystal Cabin Fever          February 10-26, 2012          Lakeville, Pike County

Oh my gosh, the kids will love this!  Crystal Cabin Fever was created to cure the "Cabin Fever" people often feel in February. Originally a LIFE SIZED ICE CABIN was built and the event drew thousands of visitors. Now in its sixth season, the Crystal Cabin Fever team selects a unique theme each year with creative variations of the Crystal Cabin and ICE SLIDE. The team creates dozens of additional themed carvings that you will never see on a buffet table! This is an INDOOR, interactive ice display made of oer 100 tons of ice.

Winterfest                      February 4, 2012   11AM-4PM                     Ohiopyle, Fayette County

Now this looks like a spectacular celebration of winter fun! Head on over to Ohiopyle State Park for sleigh rides, sledding, dog sledding demonstrations, campfire cooking, winter shelter demonstrations, snow shoe demos by REI, X-country ski demos by Hilltoppers, a kid's fun zone and much, much more. So bundle up, grab your sleds and join us at the Sugarloaf sled riding area for a day full of fun. Food will be available for purchase on site. Sleigh rides are also available and are $5 for adults, $3 for kids and free for children 3 and under.

Winter Lights Festival        January 28 & February 4, 2012       Milford, Pike County

If you think winter lights are only for the holidays, think again!  The town of Milford, PA will be aglow on consecutive Saturdays in late January and early February with a unique ice and light installation during the 4th Annual Winter Lights Festival--A Celebration of the Arts that will include live entertainment, ice skaing on the Victorian village green, and an original theatrical ice dancing performance with stilt walkers and life size masks & puppets.
