Christmas Tree Lighting at Children's Lake December 1, 2013 5:30 Boiling Springs, Cumberland County
Boiling Springs is one of the many picturesque small villages around Pennsylvania. Beginning the first week of December, the town becomes magical. Hundreds of luminaries line the lake and crowds gather near the Gazebo to watch Santa Claus row his boat across the lake to greet the children. A Christmas Tree that is set afloat near the Memorial Clock Tower is lit at this time.
The Luminaries are lit every night between Christmas and New Years and just weekends prior to Christmas.
About Boiling Springs
Beautiful scenery, fly fishing, the oldest public pool in Cumberland County, quaint Bed & Breakfasts, plus theatre and local events. Founded in 1845*, but settled prior to 1737, Boiling Springs is a village that surrounds the Children’s Lake, right on the Appalachian Trail. The Memorial Clock Tower, erected in 1956 and the Boiling Springs (Grist) Mill, on record as early as 1785, are two landmarks in the village. The mill is one of, if not the most photographed building in the village.
