Cherry Crest Adventure Farm amazing fun for all ages.

With over 50 Farm Fun activities, games and rides spread over 15 acres, it’s easy to spend the day at Cherry Crest Adventure Farm. Plus there’s the 17^th Annual Amazing Maize Maze, billed as the world’s largest interactive game.

This year it’s a whole new ballgame as America’s favorite pastimes

(baseball and corn mazes, of course) collide in a 5-acre field of dreams called “Batter Up!”  Over 2.5 miles of paths create a gigantic portrait of a slugger at bat. Inside the maze, experience the sights and sounds of a great game in progress. There are plenty of fun diversions along the way from a speed pitch machine to baseball trivia to photo opps with famous players.

You also have three levels of play to choose from – Easy, Intermediate or Advanced for die-hard trekkers who seek the Kernels of Knowledge and 15 hidden puzzle pieces that complete a map. The ultimate goal is finding the sweet spot on the gigantic bat for a home run to Victory Bridge, and the way out.

Then head for the Barnyard and Courtyard for all of the other activities.

The new Discovery Barn and Stage, and enhanced Farm Animal Center with its own Goat Mountain, provide a fascinating interactive experience that educates about life on the farm.

Little kids love petting and feeding the goats, pigs and lambs, and holding a baby chick for the first time.

Check out the new water play area and game station, along with old favorites like the giant jump pillows, Singing Chicken
Show,  Lil’ Farmers’ Playland, Pedal Karts on dual tracks, three-lane Straw Bale Racer, Barnyard Ball-cade and of course the Giant Hay Chute Slide.

When you’re hungry there are two separate food courts that offer hearty

lunch and dinner menus of Angus burgers, hotdogs, chicken and fries, salads and wraps, beverages and sweets, and Cherry Crest’s famous fudge, fresh squeezed lemonade, homemade kettle corn and fresh picked roasted sweet corn. The maze also has its own Corn Café.

A Farm Tour Wagon Ride takes visitors through Cherry Crest’s 175-acre cattle, poultry and farming operations, and explains the farm’s conservation programs and historic place in Pennsylvania history.

Ask about the Summer Boomerang Special (purchase a regular admission and come back free – again and again – through Sept. 21). Guest services include wagon rentals, baby changing/nursing room, and two Gathering Barns that can be rented for parties.

Summer hours, which start July 3, are Tuesday-Friday 10am-5pm, and Saturday 10am-dusk. Last entrance to the maze is 90 minutes prior to closing. Children age 2 and under always admitted free, and free parking is located on premise.
