For the first time EVER, the Marshall's Creek Mastodon, is on display at the State Museum of Pennsylvania in Harrisburg. For nearly 12,000 years, this giant beast lay under a peat bog in the Poconos, until a dredging machine accidentally hooked its giant skull in 1968. Now, visitors can see the 11 feet tall, 2,000 pound mastodon it all it's glory!
