Ice Age Mammoths & Mastodons     January 24 to May 2      Harrisburg, Dauphin County For the first time EVER, the Marshall's Creek Mastodon, is on display at the State Museum of Pennsylvania in Harrisburg. For nearly 12,000 years, this giant beast lay under a peat bog in the Poconos, until a dredging machine accidentally hooked its giant skull in 1968. Now, visitors can see the 11 feet tall, 2,000 pound mastodon it all it's glory!
