BugFest            August 10-11, 2013 10AM -5PM        Academy of Natural Sciences, Philadelphia

Take the kiddos to Bugfest  at the Academy of Natural Sciences. The whole family can cheer on a bunch of roaches in the daily "Roach Race".  Get up close & personal with tarantulas and stick insects... Touch them if you dare!  You may even want to--gulp--EAT a bug at the Creepy Crawly Cuisine station!  PLUS, there are outside walks, activities and crafts. Yep, tons of fun!

(One kid not into bugs? There are dinosaurs, butterflies and more. Something for everyone.)PLUS, View a large and colorful birdwing butterfly species­­—never before seen at the Academy!

In addition to butterflies, you can see and touch more than 50 other live bugs from the Academy’s insect collection, eat creepy-crawly cuisine, go on a bug walk, cheer on your favorite roach at the Roach Race 500,and even meet a real entomologist!

Admission is $13-15, kids 2 and younger are free!
