Scarecrow Festival   September 18-19, 2010   Peddler's Village, Lahaska, Bucks County
Just thinking about the Scarecrow festival brings a smile to my face. I worked at Hart's Tavern while in grad school and I always looked forward to the Scarecrow Festival. The paths along the village have scarecrows made by organizations, children's groups and businesses. . . and some of them are pretty darn creative. Funny too. There is always plenty to do. . live entertainment and the food is great. . and I think the apple cider drinks are on the menu for the season too.

National Constitution Center                           Philadelphia Philadelphia County
Every now and again I think about how lucky we are to be living in such a historic state. There are tons of historic (read: educational and interesting) things to do in Pennsylvania. Philadelphia will have to top the list for me as the #1 place to start.
On July 4, 2003, the elegant, two-story National Constitution Center opened its doors to an estimated one million visitors a year. Located on the third block of Independence Mall and serving as the northernmost anchor of the Mall complex, the Center tells the story of the U.S. Constitution through more than 100 interactive and multimedia exhibits, photographs, sculpture, text, film and artifacts.
