Halloween Costume Parade                    Oct. 31, 2010, 6:30 pm          State College, Centre County

 

This will be the 65th Annual Centre Region Halloween Costume Parade!  Line up on the corner of Burrowes & West College Ave. according to costume category.  The parade will go through downtown State College to Memorial Field, where costume judging will take place.  Costume categories: Tiny Tots (2 & under); Cartoon Characters; Witches & Monsters; Fairy Tale Characters; Ghosts & Goblins; TV/Movie Characters; Animals on Parade; Halloween Twosome; Groups (3 or more); and Open Class.  This is a FREE family tradition, sponsored by Centre Region Parks & Recreation and the State College Lions Club.

Millersville Community Parade   Oct. 23, 2010, 9:00 AM     Millersville, Lancaster County

The 2010 theme is "Wild, Wild West"!  Parade entries range from Philadelphia Mummers in "full-plume" to handmade floats by area children's groups. The Millersville Community Parade Committee works hard to bring high quality bands to the parade each year from as far away as Baltimore and New York City. With antique cars, music,dancing, animals, floats and clowns, to name just a few of the many things entered each year, the Millersville Community Parade has something for every family to enjoy.
