First-Time Campers Program         Summer 2013        Participating State Parks in Pennsylvania

Camping is such a fun way to build life-long family memories, but if you have never pitched a tent or started a campfire, you may be a little intimidated by the prospect of setting up camp.  Never fear! This summer, the Pennsylvania Dept. of Conservation and Natural Resources has teamed up with Gander Mountain to provide first-time campers with needed gear and reservations for 2-nights at a participating state park for just $20-- PLUS help from park staff setting up camp!

Moyers Grove Campground                                          Wapwallopen, PA

Moyers Grove Campground is a great family RV and tenting campground for the whole family. There are plenty of things to do while here including fishing, mini golf, enjoy the swimming pool and much more.

This looks like a really cool family vacation.  Guided horseback tour of the "PA Wilds". Awesome right? Check out both the vacations and the trail rides. I like the "City Slickers Special" for obvious reasons. Lol.

WOW!  This looks like a great park for a family vacation!  There are four campgrounds with campsites and cabins (click campgrounds to see the details) on the giant Pymatuning Lake and four managed beaches, plus fishing, boating and winter activites like ice fishing, sledding and ice skating!  Pymatuning State Park covers a large area but is split up into smaller units that are sprinkled along the shoreline of Pymatuning Lake. A majority of the park is located in Pennsylvania (21,122 acres), with the rest found in and managed by the state of Ohio (3,512 acres).
