Memorial Day Cermony & Parade       May 27, 2013   9AM          Langhorne, Bucks County

Langhorne's Memorial Day Parade kicks off at 9AM May 27th outside the American Legion Jesse W. Soby Post No. 148 at 115 W. Richardson Ave.  After a service there, the parade will run through the streets of Langhorne and part of Langhorne Manor. Legion auxiliary members will collect items for troops serving overseas and in military hospitals during the parade. They ask for nonperishable personal care items such as razors, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, etc.

Bethlehem parade, sponsored by the United Veterans of Bethlehem and the Harry F.W. Johnson Post 379, will begin at 9 a.m. at Liberty High School, 1115 Linden St., and proceed north on Linden Street to Memorial Park Cemetery. Frank Ginther, Navy veteran and former POW, will speak. Participating bands include Liberty High School, Dieruff High School and Broughal Middle School. The American Legion Band will provide prelude music at cemetery. On Memorial Day, Veterans of Foreign Wars posts in Eddington and Andalusia will lead a parade down Bristol Pike from the Suzuki Fun Center at 2639 Route 13 to Mill Park, the city line with Philadelphia. The parade is scheduled to start at 10 AM.

The Hatboro Summer Fun Festival and Carnival will celebrate Memorial Day in true Hatboro fashion with a parade and picnic.  The parade will start at 4:00 PM and will travel York Rd. From Byberry Rd. To the Festival grounds.   The parade will feature participants from local VFWs, Scouting groups, dance groups, fire trucks, bands and decorative float competition. Who does NOT love a parade? The Lower Merion Township Memorial Day Parade begins forming at 10 am on Memorial Day, Monday, May 27, at the Merion Fire Company in Ardmore and last about an hour. You'll be home in time for afternoon cookouts and other holiday fun. Get there early, 9-9:30, maybe drink your coffee there.Starts at CB West, east on West Court Street, east on west State Street, north on North Main Street to Doylestown Cemetery for service. And don't miss the pancake breakfast at the masonic temple!
